News: Archives Triad Interactive, Inc. Announces Development of New Testing Engine
Washington, D.C. multimedia firm develops state-of-the-art interactive testing engine
Washington, D.C., May 1, 2000 Washington, D.C.-based multimedia firm Triad Interactive, Inc., announced today the development of a new interactive testing engine for online and computer-based testing to accompany its Triad Interactive Learning Architecture (TILA). With Triad's Real-Time Aptitude and Learning Assessment (RALA), all program data exists on a stand-alone CD-ROM and can be copied to a local network drive accessible to the student or downloaded from an Internet/Intranet connection. Student scores are stored in the same location from which the test file was accessed. Download time for a test is minimal, and once downloaded there is little or no lag between questions. Through RALA's Administrator Module, instructors are able to control class and student lists, as well as create customized tests from a vast pool of questions. Question may take the form of traditional mutliple choice, true/false, short answer or matching, or they may be presented in a simulated application environment where the student is asked to actually perform the tasks on which he is being tested. Feedback to the instructor includes not just final test scores, but the status of all questions (correct, incorrect, or skipped), as well as the number of times each question and/or test was attempted. Triad has succeeded in designing a testing engine that makes the instructor's task both easier and more creative, while at the same time transforming the task of testing students into an extension of the learning experience. Triad Interactive, Inc. is a leading designer and developer of interactive products. It has an outstanding reputation as an innovative force in the multimedia industry. |
