INFORM
Client: Fox Chase Cancer Center & Massachusetts General Hospital

Developed for the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, INFORM was designed as an informational take-home program for study participants. The program will be used by patients who have had colon cancer to inform them about their decision whether or not to be tested for the HNPCC (Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colon Cancer) gene.

Study participants are presented with a number of issues to consider when making the decision about genetic testing. They are then asked to apply what they learned and consider their own views when deciding whether they want to consent to two independent screening tests to help determine if their cancer is hereditary.
